As a graphic Designer I am always seeking new fonts to keep my latest designs up to date with a quirky edge.

At work we usually buy font families from big websites, however i gave up looking on the usual sites and though hey you know what i might just check out those free font websites?? see if they have any new fonts my computer doesn't already have?? and you know what i was pleasantly surprised...... :)

Ok so now I am back, I have just had a snoop around all the girlie's blogs to check up on what they been blogging about lately and ohh and there's defiantly some juicy bits!!

Emma Collins has been on her ongoing adventure into family life and has been exploring all the wonders of the National Trusts treats!! Its always nice to get out and see what whats adventure you can explore on those weekends off and what better place to start exploring than Dorset such a beautiful place to live and explore.

Kirtsy Wiseman is a good friend of mine that I admire for a lot of reasons and one thing I always luv about her blog is colour!! She is a whizz with a camera and her shots on her projects just speak for themselves. I love her tight cropping and rotating shots and not to mention again the vivid colour that comes from any projects she does. (Plus the yummy products she uses)

Well mothersdya has just gone and I thought Iwould post where I got all my goodies this year, well it was none other than Tesco! They had the most beautifully illustrated floral collection of products that I just couldnt resist.

I lved everything from the beautiful products to the packaging and to the gift bags! Deliious let hope Tesco keep on bringing out beautiful ranges like this for the future!

This teapot cosy was on Print pattern and had to blog it, I love it if anyon knows where you can get this cutie of an item let me know!!

These little kits are great for inspiring me for packaging for my Craft Planet range! Both aimed at little girls with the pink patterns but just a mixture of delightful fonts, colours and images!!

This beautiful card was designed by Jenny Pierce, an amazing designer/crafter of the Do Craft team. She has used a combination of my Papermania everyday paper collect & cardstock stickers, as well as the new stitch templates.

This beautiful card by Clare Curd is fantastic, shes combined my Scrumptious collection with Kirsty Wisemans Spring Burst collection and wow these two work fantastic with each other! I love how shes used my hugs and kisses stamp to embelish this beautiful cake stand stamp.

There are some fantastic designs hitting the kids market this season and here's a little tastier of some of the designs I thought were really inspiring to me:

Design: I love these simple colourful illustrations and with the added touch of a smiley face, it just makes them so much fun and lovable! Its the simple things that are the most effective!

This cute kitty and cupcake cake stand is just just really girly and elegant. The box is so delicious it makes your mouth water before you even get to the delicate plates inside The illustrations continue on inside just adding a lovely touch.

This year I am going to make a popular theme into one your kids wont be able to live without! For the Boys!!

These images are quite simple but I like the colours which I think really makes these designs jump out and grab you.

Animals

I love animals and have made this a focus point of the new fun stickers. I have put designs together which are a bit varied so that there is choice and a style to suit all kids.I thought these designs were really inspiring and exactly what kids want from animal illustrations!

Packaging with a difference!
I am always looking to develop my ideas and creativity with packaging. Packaging may not seem interesting you, but to me its the thing that sells you the product at a glance, the thing that tells you everything you need to know about the inside contents and an interstesting packaging can be what gives the wow fator! and thats what I want to give kids! :)

I cant wait for your response to some of the illustrations I did to the new fun stickers launching in June, but hopefully you will be excited as I am and I can keep pushing Craft Planet to a new Galaxy!!

Ok hi to everyone that was regulary checking out my blog and then I just went well all quiet?! But I am ok ,its just the last few weeks, errrm months have been a bit full on and I just needed to take a break, but I am back and in full bloggin swing!
I though why not come back with a bang so my blogs had a little make over and in its full pink glory, you got to love pink! x

Ok where to start?? Last time I blogged I had just started the re-brand of Craft Planet the kids brand by Do Crafts. Well you will be pleased to hear that it has taken on a major and I mean major new look, it is going to be the hottest kids brand in town.

I wont say what its looking like or what is coming (because I am not alloud too lol.) but it launches June 09, so get down to your local Do stockist asap and/or check out my blog on launch date for the sneaky peak of the fantastic new products!

We will be launching something every new month from June 09 onwards, so this may mean Craft Planet might not always be on the ce promotion at your local Do Crafts stockist. But this is great, it means that I will never be bored! hahaha and that you will always find something your kids will enjoy in the stores or online.

Ok well lets talk about whats been hot with Papermania lately .....
Well the launch of my last paper collection for Papermania was in January, it was called Scrumptious and I felt and wanted you all to think that the designs were really truly scrumptious? and it seems you all have got into the scrummy spirit of it and have been crafting some fantaastic stuff.

Well I saved the best for last! Its not everyday you get the opotunity to re=design a tote that is already a top seller! Well I did, me and Emma worked closly on this project and we bring you the new wheelable tote!! Its gorgous in every way, I am ordering mine! And thats not the best bit, it comes in two different colours to choose from! green this seasons colour or the a sexy black!

We kept the other two handheld totes the same and also put them in these faboulous colours, so check them out and let me know how they are improving your crafting life.

Supporting Marie Curie

Well Papermania is supporting Marie Curie once again this year and everyday I see the cards come flooding in, so thank you for your support everyone. I am a great supporter of the cause and although I didnt design the stamps that are being sold, I did design the box dispenser, posterm the new new card bags and other bits. As a big lover of paperchase!! I came across this fabulous new floral pattern collection, very beautifully illustrated and coloured in with Autumn colours the whole new stationary and accessories is to die for I'll be popping back in to grab my new stylish umbrella to get me through the winter!!

Not to mention there fantastic new kitty and doggy collection of stationary, and accessories! So sweet, as a mad lover of all animals especially my two cuties Merlin and Sparkles, it looks like I have sorted the Christmas prezzies!!

Well didn't our Papermania and Xcut hour on QVC go well, totally amazing!! Well done Kirsty and Clare you both done a fantastic job! and made some amazing cards, scrapbooking pages and demonstrations. I was so proud to see my designs and branding of the new logos and packaging made into beautiful creations and to get such a fantastic response from the viewers, tomorrow will be such a buzz to walk into the office everyone will be on cloud 9!

Whenever I try doing some blogging at home I always seem to have company. My cat Merlin is very much intrigued by the blogging community, and has regularly given me his input on what to write, he does this in a variety of ways, usually by standing on my keyboard and typing a lot of random letters which makes sence to him, or he sits and miaows away at me as if hes telling me what to write.

Sunday Afternoon ....

I had to make a few cards this afternoon for a few people. My little brother passed all his GCSE's so proud of him so I made him this card from the Basic grey collection.

My Auntie got married a few weeks ago in America and she having a big party next weekend so I made the happy couple this card from sample embellishments from China and Papermania vellum's.

As a little prezzie for my other brother, I was in his flat the other day and noticed he didn't have any pictures of him and his girlfriend Mandy. So I made a scrapbook page of them together.

Last weekend we went off to Brent Cross as IKEA the best shopping place in the world!!! I have so much furniture from there my flat is like an IKEA showroom.
